Painting Stories by Peter Pharoah
I don't like to paint 'pretty' pictures, as for me, the art of painting lies in my ability to capture a moment in time, an experience, a memory...
Here are a few stories behind the inspiration for my paintings.
Decor Inspiration
Displaying your art is a great way to show your design flair. Selecting an artwork for display in your home or work space is a great way to breathe fresh life into a tired space.
Whether it’s a memory or a feeling, a piece of art can evoke powerful emotions when we look at it.
Art can cheer us up after a bad day, make us remember, or inspire us to do more in life.
It can provide comfort that we are not the only ones feeling a certain way.
What Inspires Me...- The Sounds of Africa
The Sounds of Africa resonate deep in my soul... From the beating of African drums, the beauty of African voices singing, the call of the fisheagle or the nightjar at dusk... the trilling of the rainbird heralding the coming storm. The deep rich roar of the lion, the call of the jackal and the inimitable chuckle of the hyena... I LOVE Africa
