"The Girl's on the Square is an award winning restaurant located in a beautiful garden setting offering alfresco dining and is a favourite among locals and visitors alike.
Looking back at the decade following the terrible fire that destroyed our gallery in 2010.
Spirit of the Wild by Peter Pharoah - Original Oil Painting on Canvas by Peter Pharoah (Prices do not include Import Duties & Taxes that may be payable at destination) featuring the iconic African Wild Dog in Peter Pharoah's uniquely distinctive and celebrated style.
Stretching or framing your artwork can be done in many different ways and presents an opportunity to incorporate the style of the room where the prints will be displayed.
We like to keep it simple so all our originals and prints are simply stretched canvas using a standard size stretcher with the edges painted black. Many of our clients prefer to stretch them as we do in the gallery and this is very easy for your framers to do. Read more by clicking Details below.
At the gallery, we prefer the thicker (more substantial) stretcher frame - It usually comes standard in 4.2 or 2cm depth.
We use the 4.2cm and our prints are supplied with sufficient extra canvas around the edges to allow for wrapping around and securing at the back.
Our framers use Dulux Satin Sheen enamel (black) to paint the edges once the artwork has been stretched.
The Sounds of Africa resonate deep in my soul...
I was already in George at that moment, so I raced back to the studio in Wilderness, packaged the artwork, jumped back in my car and hightailed it back to George making it to The Courier Guy depot in the nick of time - cut off time is 4pm.
Brenda and Abri were waiting to help me get the paperwork sorted out which was a little tricky as our client did not have an SA contact number or a delivery address as he was going to collect it from the kiosk close to the airport.
I told Brenda she would have to make sure it gets to Cape Town in time because I didn't fancy swimming all the way to Scotland to deliver the artwork! She laughed and said not to worry and dealt with everything quickly and efficiently and the tube was finally labelled, sorted, weighed, measured and ready to board the truck bound for Cape Town.
Early this morning, I received a call from Brenda saying that Candice at The Courier Guy kiosk (King Air Industria in Cape Town) had the parcel and it was all cleared for hand over to our client. I contacted our client and he managed to pop in en route to the airport, emerging victorious, tube in hand and still had plenty of time to check in and board his plane.
So grateful to the team that made it happen! Couriers are a crucial extension to our business, if we make promises, they are the ones who have to keep them so we really appreciate them going the extra mile so that our client could take a special memory home!
Thank you to everyone involved.

Africa 360 - Unforgettable Safari - Join us and Travel with Purpose
We love Africa!
Whether you’re looking for a classic safari, a private off-the-beaten path journey, a conservation/mission driven adventure, a small group safari, or a personal exploration of Africa’s cultures and rituals, Africa 360 Travel will personalize your dream safari.
Time in the bush rejuvenates the spirit and opens a lens into the world’s most spectacular wildlife where endangered species compete with declining habitat, poverty and poaching. This struggle brings our mission into clear focus to evolve from simply traveling on vacation to traveling with purpose.
Africa 360 was born out of our intense love of wildlife + conservation. It all started with a casual plea from a friend to plan a safari “with purpose” after she heard about our hands-on experiences in Botswana with African Wild Dogs. She wanted more than just a typical safari. She wanted exclusive access to the people, places and experiences only available through our network of world-class conservation partners across East and Southern Africa.
After two decades of exploring this diverse and awe-inspiring continent, our vast relationships and expertise allow us to delight and serve our clients beyond expectation. We are African wildlife enthusiasts whose mission is to raise awareness of successful conservation projects and support the preservation of Africa’s wildlife.
We’re proud to be the only not-for-profit safari travel company that donates 100% of profits to African wildlife conservation + community projects. We provide our clients with life changing safari itineraries and/or once-in-a-lifetime VIP access to wildlife in partnership with our conservation heroes. We support and partner with respected non-profit organizations and prominent researchers who are making a difference to preserve and protect Africa’s wildlife.
When you travel with Africa 360, you always get a unique and luxury safari experience. No detail is overlooked, and all our guests are treated like family.
Throughout your journey, we’ll introduce you to some of the most beautiful and wild places on earth.
We look forward to welcoming you home to Africa for a safari adventure that will awaken the soul and surpass your wildest dreams!
